„If you do something and it turns out pretty good, then you should go do something else wonderful, not dwell on it for too long. Just figure out what's next.“ - Steve Jobs

My name is Milan Wittpohl, a 22 years young student of business information technology from Hamburg, Germany. I’m passioned about programming (web projects and mobile apps), UI & UX design, skiing, nature, management & coordinating, climbing and technology in general. If you would like to get in touch with me you can follow me on facebook, twitter, instagram, or drop me an e-mail. If you would like to know a little bit more about myself feel free to keep reading.

I spent the first 16 years of my life growing up in a small suburb of Hamburg, Germany. As a teenager I developed a strong passion for photography and web design & development. Since I didn’t know how to code or design I taught myself the basics. At the age of 16 I decided to put drop out of my german school for a year to live and study in Canada, surrounded by the rocky mountains. Looking back I would say that this time had the most influence on my life so far. The simple but balanced and nature driven Canadian lifestyle deeply inspired me!

After I returned from Canada I really started to focus on educating myself more on programming, management and designing. Photography, web development & interface design were my passion. In addition to that I worked as a CEO of a student firm that focused on managing events. I came to a point where I found myself stuck between management, computer science and designing. Being realistic I came to the conclusion that I was not good at designing. So I decided to just keep it as a hobby. For that reason I started studying business information technology in cooperation with the Bauer Media Group in 2013 after I graduated from high school. By doing so I can learn more about management and computer science while keeping designing as a hobby of mine. The partnership with the Bauer Media Group enables me to have practical use cases of the theoretical topics I learn in university while working at one of the biggest media houses world wide.

Since 2013 I learned a lot and improved my knowledge in a variety of different fields. I find that inspiration can come from everywhere and enables you to do wonderful things. But a lone wolf will never be as strong as his pack. Getting feedback is very valuable but it has to be honest.

Lastly I want to point out my biggest project so far. In October 2015 I fulfilled a long dream by designing and creating my very own app and distributing it on the iOS App Store. You can read more about this project over here.
